Potassium Dichromate ACS is a solid with a red-orange color, belonging to the triclinic crystal system. Its chemical formula is K2Cr2O7. This compound is also referred to as Potassium bichromate, Dipotassium Dichromate, and Dichromic Acid Dipotassium Salt. It is soluble in water. When heated above 600°C, Potassium Dichromate decomposes to produce oxygen, potassium chromate, and chromium(III) oxide.
