Glycerol ACS is a clear, scentless, and thick liquid at room temperature. It is a liquid that does not easily evaporate and has a pleasant flavor. It can readily mix with alcohol and water but does not dissolve in certain common organic solvents. It naturally attracts moisture and has a high boiling point under normal conditions. This alcohol is created through the breakdown of triglycerides or is a secondary product in the production of soap and biodiesel. Its chemical composition is C3H8O3.
