Citric acid anhydrous ACS is a white or colorless powder. As a weak organic acid, it is considered a natural antioxidant preservative. It occurs naturally in citrus fruits. Its chemical formula is C6H8O7. Its synonyms are 2-Hydroxy-1,2,3-propanetricarboxylic acid, 2-Hydroxypropan-1,2,3-tricarboxylic acid.
