Ammonium phosphate monobasic ACS is a colorless or white crystals. Its molecular formula is NH₄H₂PO₄. It is soluble in water but It is practically insoluble in ethanol. Monoammonium phosphate is industrially prepared by the exothermic reaction of phosphoric acid and ammonia in the correct proportions. It is also known as Ammonium dihydrogen phosphate (ADP) and monoammonium phosphate (MAP). It is used in many industries and chemical laboratories.
